CBD: Everything You Need To Know

CBD is one of the most talked about health + wellness products on the market today.

But there are also many questions that come with it:

What exactly is it?
How does it work?
Will it get me high?
Who can benefit from it?
And so on…

Whether you’re a CBD expert, have some knowledge of CBD, or have no clue what it is, you’re in the right place!

Here, I’ll give a quick overview of CBD by breaking down and answering most of the commonly asked questions, as well as share some other helpful knowledge that even some CBD connoisseurs are unaware of.

[[ Disclaimer: This content is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition. ]]

"CBD can help with acne, addiction, Alzheimer's, anxiety, chronic pain, depression, diabetes, general health, glaucoma, inflammation, insomnia, nausea, and so on."

CBD tinctures, bath bombs + topical creams

So, What is cbd?

CBD stands for cannabidiol. It is one of the many cannabinoids found in both marijuana + hemp.

CBD comes in many forms. Some of the most common CBD products are tinctures (seen in the dropper bottles), bath bombs, and topical creams + lotions. The amazing company that I have linked arms with also offers essential oil rollers (my favorite!!), skin patches, hand sanitizer, skin care products, and so on. There is seriously some type of CBD product out there for everyone! You just have to find the right company — think highest and purest quality.

What is the difference between cannabis (marijuana) + hemp?

They both come from the same species: cannabis sativa. However, hemp has been bred to have very low levels of THC and high levels of CBD.

Does CBD make you high?

No. CBD is non-psychoactive, meaning it will not get you “high”.

"CBD is found naturally in human breast milk."

IS CBD safe? legal?

Yes and yes! You cannot overdose on CBD. Given that you are buying from a trusted source (I talk more about this later) that offers only the highest quality CBD, it is perfectly safe. Of course, it is recommended to speak with your healthcare provider prior to using, especially if you have any questions or concerns.

Hemp derived CBD is federally legal in all 50 states.

With that being said, it is important to note that not all CBD is created equally!!

“80% of companies buy their hemp from China. Hemp is a ‘mop crop’, meaning it soaks up anything in the soil. Any toxins or “yucky stuff” in the soil goes directly into your bloodstream! Your child’s bloodstream. Every day.”

What is the difference between "full spectrum" + "CBD isolate"?

Full spectrum means the whole flower is used in the process. This includes a full collection of cannabinoids, terpenes + flavonoids. Full spectrum CBD may contain low levels of THC (0.3% or less).  CBD isolate is pure CBD taken from the hemp plant, and it contains zero THC.

What are the benefits of CBD?

– helps regulate appetite + promote healthy sleep cycles

– aids recovery from pain + inflammation

– provides a sense of calmness + focus

– helps to balance hormones

– relief from daily stress + anxiety + depression

– can alleviate cancer-related symptoms

– assists the body in achieving overall homeostasis

There are many more benefits, these are just a few!

Who can take/use CBD?

This may depend on the company and products that you are using (always check with them). But my favorite + most trusted company, has CBD products that can be used by adults, children, + pets!

"All mammals (yes, we are mammals) have an endocannabinoid system. This system regulates almost every biological process in our bodies. Endocannabinoid deficiency is extremely common and can be helped simply by taking CBD."

My QUICK Two Cents:

If I’m being honest, months ago, I was a little skeptical about CBD. I had heard about it non-stop, but I just wasn’t sure if it was really everything that it’s cracked up to be. Well.. now, after finding an amazing company, and using the highest quality products, I can honestly say that IT IS. I have never felt this good! Stay tuned as I will be posting another blog post soon about me and my family’s personal experiences with CBD (+ the amazing company)!!

Hopefully this post was helpful to you in some way!

If you have the slightest bit of curiosity about any of this, please leave a comment or message me!

I would love to share more and chat with you! This company, specifically, and their products have helped so many people that I know, and I only want to spread the wealth + knowledge. My passion is with this growing business, and to help as many people as I can.

Xoxo, Alyssa
